A Brothers Performance Customer came into the shop looking to add more HP to his 427R Mustang, the 427 has been tangled in with the Ford product line for many years, both as a car model and one of the most powerful and legendary engines in their line. It is only natural that Roush, has perhaps one of the best Ford engine builders in the states. So we, Brothers Performance added a BBK Throttle Body 05-09 4.6L 62mm, that added 21 HP and 12 lbs or Torque.
Why did Brothers suggest a BBK Throttle Body For this Project?
BBK has spent hundreds of hours, researching, developing, and experimenting with late model Ford electronic Throttle Bodies, but as a result BBK has gathered the extensive knowledge on the function of these sophisticated parts to produce the best possible product. Features like OEM die stamped throttle linkages, double sealed bearings, o ringed throttle shafts and new electronic controlled injection molded plastic gear assemblies for the new modern wire applications.
Using this throttle body on the Roush mustang showed huge benefits. Once the 427R has been correctly tuned, the HP gain will be an enormous improvement.
