I guess a couple of writers for Car and Driver magazine made it out to a “run what ya brung” night at a South haven, Michigan track last night and saw some thinly disguised 2010 Mustangs. Seems some engineers over at Ford released a couple of new ponys onto the track with a new, beefier “track pack”. It was shaving almost 2 seconds off the 2010 Mustang’s time. This new track pack the Ford fellas were tweaking around with will be available as an option in 2011. Combine this with the new for 2011 400+ HP “coyote” 5.0 liter engine for the GT version of the Mustang, and Ford will be in serious performance competition with Chevy’s camaro.
