Ford’s press release earlier this week brought to light a half dozen Mustangs that will be appearing at the SEMA show next week in Las Vegas included in this press release was the previously announced Steeda Q Mustang. Noticeably absent was the Saleen version of the Mustang. So almost as if to say “Hey! Remember we’ll be there too!”, Saleen let slip several more shots of the debuting Saleen S281 version of the Mustang.

I got a sharp little video from our friends over at BBK down the road in Temecula yesterday. It shows a bone-stock 2010 Camaro RS V6 on their dyno. The car made 255 horsepower at the wheels (aka RWHP) (it’s advertised as 304 by Chevy (here), but that would be at the crankshaft, not at the wheels) on the dyno. For a V6, that’s not bad. The first thing BBK discovered though is that the exhaust is extremely restricted in it’s design.

So we had a couple of people come into our Corona store on Railroad Street last week. They wanted to dyno their cars. We’ve had a Dynojet at our location for over a year now, and we said “sure”! Turns out the cars they wanted to test for horsepower were a little outside of what we normally test here at Brothers Performance. Usually we see Mustangs and Camaros. Some corvettes, even a Cadillac once. Well what these folks were driving were those cute little “Smart Car”s.

Um, ohhhh-kay. Sure.

After a couple months of teasing race and Mustang fans alike, Ford Racing finally revealed their 2010 mustang entry in the NASCAR National series today in Concord, North Carolina at the headquarters for Roush-Fenway racing (yes, ThAT Roush). Ford streamed the event through the Ford Racing website live at 1pm EST.

The new Number 16 Mustang for Nascar’s Nationwide series is due to be unveiled this morning at 1pm EST at the Roush Fenway Racing headquarters in North Carolina. Due to be on hand are special guest Edsel B. Ford II, member of the Board of Directors, Ford Motor Co.; Brian Wolfe, director, Ford North America Motorsports; Jack Roush, owner, Roush Fenway Racing; and Colin Braun, driver.

Gonna be cool, and Ford is streaming the event live!

Saleen Performance Vehicles (formerly just Saleen, Inc.) teased us all with some shots of their upcoming s281 Mustang. The concept I saw before was less than stunning, but these certainly do inspire a LOT more curiosity on our parts! We really like the new spoiler on the rear end, and the diffuser at the bottom rear is pretty serious looking too! Love the squared off tips of the exhaust!

Steeda sent out some “sneak peek” images of their upcoming “Steeda Q” 2010 Mustang. Still no word on any actual horsepower increases, so it appears that the “Q” will have mostly exterior and handling tweaks. Steeda has already released a number of tweaked parts for the 2010 Mustang.
