A great Turnout even with the rain - thanks for a great day Camaro5.com

Even with the bad weather - we had a great turn out last Saturday with approx 35 cars and about 100 members of the SoCal Camaro5.com family.
Brain Murphy the owner of BBK Performance and Brothers Performance allowed all the members who had driven down in rain and hail to settle into their damp and wet surroundings before giving every one a personal tour of the BBK Performance facilities in Temecula. The CNC Machine building was first on the list followed by the ALL New Exhaust manufacturing building across the street followed by a tour of the All New Brothers Performance warehouse and showroom.

Shelby American announces 2011 Ford Mustang GT350

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

The GT350 is back, and it’s going to carry the Shelby name. Wasting NO time from the announcement of the 2011 Mustang and it’s 5.0 liter powerplant at the Detroit Auto Show, Shelby showed off it’s “concept car” which reportedly will hit the streets for real a little later in 2010 with few changes from as it’s shown here.

Brothers Performance coverage of SEMA 2009 - OUTSIDE

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

So SEMA is well under way, and boy are the cars HOT and the news FLYING!!! New Parts, New Customizations, News every hour (it feels like, anyway!). Part one of our SEMA coverage from Las Vegas is going to be cars on the OUTSIDE… If you’re familiar with the Specialty Equipment Market Association convention in Las Vegas at all, you’ve heard that the show on the OUTSIDE is almost as hot as the show on the INSIDE (no desert heat pun intended… it’s November and every day is a balmy and breezy 85 degrees).

So here are the pictures, every one is click-able for larger images…

SNEAK PEEK! 2010 Camaro on the dyno GAINS 33HP and 30 ft lb of torque!

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

I got a sharp little video from our friends over at BBK down the road in Temecula yesterday. It shows a bone-stock 2010 Camaro RS V6 on their dyno. The car made 255 horsepower at the wheels (aka RWHP) (it’s advertised as 304 by Chevy (here), but that would be at the crankshaft, not at the wheels) on the dyno. For a V6, that’s not bad. The first thing BBK discovered though is that the exhaust is extremely restricted in it’s design.

2010 Camaro SS Transmission Failure Concern For Chevy - Further Deliveries Delayed

Friday, July 17th, 2009

Looks like Chevy is having to investigate numerous complaints about the launch control of the new 2010 Camaro SS. Seems that if you use the Launch control, or for that matter just launch the car really hard without the launch control, it can lead to a broken “output shaft” (yes, that really does exist). A broken output shaft leaves the car immobile and of course causing an expensive repair.
