Ford’s press release earlier this week brought to light a half dozen Mustangs that will be appearing at the SEMA show next week in Las Vegas included in this press release was the previously announced Steeda Q Mustang. Noticeably absent was the Saleen version of the Mustang. So almost as if to say “Hey! Remember we’ll be there too!”, Saleen let slip several more shots of the debuting Saleen S281 version of the Mustang.

While most of the Ford Mustang world waits breathlessly for an official Street Legal Boss Mustang edition to be designed and released by Ford, automotive designer Larry Shinoda of Team Shinoda recently released details and photos of his own version of a 2010 BOSS Shinoda Mustang. (more…)
Steeda sent out some “sneak peek” images of their upcoming “Steeda Q” 2010 Mustang. Still no word on any actual horsepower increases, so it appears that the “Q” will have mostly exterior and handling tweaks. Steeda has already released a number of tweaked parts for the 2010 Mustang. They are: (click below for more)
So the new (and oh, so pretty) BF Goodrich/Hurst convertible Mustang Pace Car debuted at the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge race on September 19th in Colorado (hence the stunning back drop for these pictures).
I guess a couple of writers for Car and Driver magazine made it out to a “run what ya brung” night at a South haven, Michigan track last night and saw some thinly disguised 2010 Mustangs. Seems some engineers over at Ford released a couple of new ponys onto the track with a new, beefier “track pack”. (more…)
Brothers Performance has 25 years experience in the performance automotive industry as a direct warehouse distributor for over 150 manufacturers. This past week, Brothers Performance opened a new East coast location in Deland, Florida this past weekend. De Land, about halfway between Orlando and Daytona Beach, also sits conveniently close to Interstate 4. This East Coast location, in combination with the original California store and warehouse in Corona, California will allow Brothers Performance to ship items at greater savings yet with less time to their customers nationwide.
I see that Ford has built another custom Mustang for the Experimental Aircraft Association’s “Gathering of Eagles” fundraiser. The Aviation themed Mustang has been named the AV-X10 or “Dearborn Doll”. Patterned after the stylings and trim from the quintessential American World War II Fighter Mustang fighter planes (see picture), The 2010 AV-X10 Mustang will be auctioned off during the 2009 EAA Air Venture Oshkosh fly-in convention which takes place July 27-August 2 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Here’s how the story circulating the internet goes…
Three nineteen year old boys talked someone into giving them the keys for a test drive of a brand new for 2010 Ford Mustang GT. This car comes stock from the dealership with more than 315 horsepower, and by the pictures included here, that’s about 314 horsepower more than these hooligans could handle. I’m not sure if the failure is more in the poor driving skills or in the dealership that handed over the keys to a brand new $35,000 muscle car without insisting that a salesman accompany them. A couple of quick items today, both on the new, highly anticipated 2010 Roush 427r Ford Mustang… and not all of it good news… for Roush.
on the track
Motortrend got to spend some road time, and more importantly, track time with the new Roush Mustang 427R and buddy, they were sure impressed. Over at their site there are some great shots of the red beast, and even some desktop wallpapers (one of which is currently being used on my own computer). Be sure to watch the video to see this 435HP car that they dubbed “rudeboy” in action around the track. 0-60 in 4.7 seconds and 100 MPH in 11 seconds is nothing to be sneazed at, for sure (the bad news being, and Motortrend points this out, that the Shelby GT500 is faster, better handling, and as tested, less expensive in price)!
On the strip, ready to rock...

Then, to continue the marketing hype…
Jack Roush allowed filming to go on during the 14 months that the 2010 Roush 427R Mustang was being developed until it’s unveiling a couple of weeks ago.

That's what I call Play Dough!
Also apart of the show will be special guest interviews by Chip Foose, NHRA drag racer John Force and NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth and Greg Biffle.
If you don’t have a DVR (aka Tivo) or forget to set it, the show will also air the next night on Tuesday July 21st at Midnight. It’s not scheduled to run again until Monday, SEPTEMBER 21st at 8 a.m. so be sure to catch the first or second showings if you’re really interested in the development of this 427″rudeboy” Mustang. Speed is channel 607 on Directv and channel number 150 on Dish. If you have cable, check your local listings.
So we’ve been putting the design of the new “Brothers Performance” T-shirt together this week. Brother’s has a newly revised logo, and we’re on a push to highlight our new website as well as highlight the other vehicles we support here. As these things go, there’s tweak after tweak as different eyes look over the design. This morning we were looking at two different versions of the design with small differences between them, and one of us (I honestly don’t recall who it was) suggested we have a contest online to spot the differences between the two.
So here ya’ go. Click on the picture for the 1024 pixel wide one.
click the picture for a larger version to spot the 6 differences~
There are SIX differences. From the “Oh, I should have seen that, it’s so obvious!” to the “what the heck?”
The first person who email us the correct six differences gets a $200 BBK gift certificate redeemable only at Brothers Performance and the new T-Shirt when it comes out!
