Yet another example of “worst kept internet secrets”, Ford announced yesterday that the 5.0 Liter 2011 Ford Mustang GT will be the official pace car of this year’s Daytona 500 on February 14th. This news was released by Barrett-Jackson auctions a couple of weeks ago

So the new (and oh, so pretty) BF Goodrich/Hurst convertible Mustang Pace Car debuted at the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge race on September 19th in Colorado (hence the stunning back drop for these pictures).
